Peggy Ruth Bean

Peggy Ruth Bean, age 78, of Randleman died Monday, May 28, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. Miss Bean was born March 23, 1934 in Randolph County to John W. and Iro Brookshire Bean. She was a charter member of Faith Community Church and was retired from United Brass Works. Peggy was a Carolina fan who played women's professional softball and was an avid golfer in her prime. She was a jokester who loved life. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bubba" Beane. She is survived by best friend, companion and caregiver Marilyn Bailey of Randleman; sister, Hilda Lee "Dillie" Bean of Randleman; brother, John Bean, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Asheboro; nieces, Janet Hayes, Brenda Willard; nephew, Bob Beane; several great nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Faith Community Church, 4252 US Hwy 220 Bus. S., Asheboro from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Eller and Pastor James Coggins officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park.
