Peggy Maness Ashley

Peggy Maness Ashley, age 67, of 426 Foster St., Asheboro died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. Mark C. Beane officiating. Mrs. Ashley was born in Randolph County, NC on October 3, 1944 to E. David and Edith R. Maness. She was a 1963 graduate of Asheboro High School and a graduate of Asheboro Business College. She was retired from Citi Financial and was employed with Shoe Show in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Harlan Ashley. She is survived by brother, Ronald D. Maness and his wife Pamela L. Maness of Asheboro, NC; sister, Phyllis M. Busick and her husband James V. Busick of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces and nephews, Bryan Maness and his wife Kristen Maness of Raleigh, NC, Courtney Dubis and her husband Gabe Dubis of Greenville, NC, Deanna Busick and her husband Josh Pihl of Knoxville, TN, Jon Busick of Kemah, TX; great nephews and great niece, Caleb Maness, Aaron Maness, and Allison Pihl. The body will lie in state at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
