Pearl H. Ferree

Pearl H. Ferree, age 85, of 230 E. Presnell St., Asheboro died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark J. Key and Rev. Mark Spencer officiating. Mrs. Ferree was a native of Rockingham County and was a charter member of Richland Baptist Church. Pearl was a caring and compassionate nurse. Early in her career she served as Dr. Joyner's nurse. She retired from Randolph Hospital with 40 years of service and then worked at Brian Center in Asheboro. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Randleman Duke Ferree, Sr. She is survived by her son, Randy Ferree, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Mary Alice Ferree of Seven Lakes, NC; grandson, Miller Ferree; brothers, Bill Spencer and his wife Sue of Seagrove, NC, Sam Spencer and his wife Carol of Clemmons, NC; half sisters, Linda Weatherly of Norcross, GA, Shurby Cagle of Star, NC, and Peggy Williams of Seagrove, NC.
