Pauline Coltrane Voncannon

Mary Pauline Coltrane Voncannon, age 87, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Voncannon was born in Randolph County on April 28, 1931 to Roscoe Clarence and Birzilla Lucretia Brown Coltrane and was a 1949 graduate of Asheboro High School. Pauline was retired from Stedman Manufacturing and later worked for Lassiter Sportswear and Sears at Randolph Mall. She attended First Christian Church in Ramseur. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, Bryce, Joe, Clyde, and Willie Coltrane.

She is survived by her children, Judy Brown and husband Phillip of Bennett, Linda Lingle of Asheville, Ray Voncannon and wife Wanda of Asheboro; and Paula Walker and husband Todd of Asheboro; grandchildren, Luke Lingle and wife Annie of Asheville, Linden Lingle and wife Taylor of Asheville, Steven Walker and wife Abby of Randleman, Shane Trogdon of Asheboro, and Misty Trogdon of Bennett; and great grandchildren, Laine, Annabel, Oliver, Celian, Lorelei, Maci, Madison, and Cash.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 12:00-1:15 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at her home. A graveside service will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5852 Zoo Parkway in Asheboro with Rev. Luke Lingle officiating.
