Pauline Spencer Rich

Pauline Spencer Rich, age 89, of 1422 Arrowwood Road, Asheboro died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Private graveside services will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Rich was a life-long resident of Randolph County and was retired from Union Carbide. She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church and was active in the VFW. She enjoyed gardening and was active in her garden club. Mrs. Rich's passion was her family and family events. She was preceded in death by sisters, Maudie Goins and Iris Robbins. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joseph C. Rich; son, Larry Rich of Emerald Isle; daughter, Pam Evans and her husband Roger of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tracey Perez of Charlotte, Elizabeth Davis of Asheville, Spencer Rich of Athens, GA; great grandchildren, Joseph and "Rocky" Perez and "Zeke", Adam and Van Davis; sister, Ruby Foster of Asheboro; brother, Bobby Spencer and his wife Ola of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Monday, July 19, 2010 from 1:00 - 1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to West Bend United Methodist Church, P.O.
