Mary Pauline Williams Parker, age 90, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation in Asheboro.
Mrs. Parker was born in Robbins, NC on September 20, 1928 to Robert and Helen Davis Williams and was a graduate of Elise High School. Pauline spent many years working in hosiery mills and retired from Jockey International. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Charles Bentley Parker of Creedmoor and great granddaughter, Lucy Faith Simpson. Pauline loved her family and friends. She loved working in her yard with her flowers and her greenhouse and sharing her flowers with neighbors and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Wayland Brewer Parker; daughter, Rita Parker Simpson (Rich) of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Collins Simpson Foster (Chris) of Marietta, GA, Dr. Richard W. Simpson V (Jaime) of Augusta, GA, and John Parker Simpson of Stone Mountain, GA; great grandchildren, Avery LeeAnn Simpson, Emerson Anne Foster, and Tessa Claire Simpson; and sisters, Margaret Williams Hardin of Supply and Neva Williams Upchurch (Freddie) of Robbins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Willis Herman officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.
