Pauline Brady Kowal

Georgia Pauline Brady Kowal, age 93, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Mrs. Kowal was born in Highfalls, NC on November 20, 1921 to Herbert and Bertha Welch Brady. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Mike Kowal who was a former college professor in Connecticut. She lived in Connecticut for about 50 years and after her husband passed, she moved back to the Asheboro area to be near her family. Pauline was a former volunteer NC Docent and loved cats and dogs. She is survived by her siblings, Esther Garner of Archdale, NC, Willis Brady, Jr. of Highfalls, NC, Helen Councilman and husband Archie of Bear Creek, NC; several nephews, one niece, and several great nieces and great nephews.
