Pauline "Polly" Messick Ivester, age 97, of., Archdale Passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Mrs. Ivester was born July 9, 1922 the daughter of Lewis Tucker and Eunice Tucker Reeves. Polly was a native of Greenville, SC. She worked 40 years in textiles, retiring from Pinehurst Textiles. Polly was the oldest member of Midway Wesleyan Church nearly 80 years. She was a good and faithful servant to God, to her family, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed singing, music, reading and crocheting. In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by her husbands, Hobert Messick, Sr. and Arnold Ivester, great grandson, Jessie Rollins and sisters, Edna Bunting and Naomi Perry.
She is survived by children: Jeannie Parrish and husband Roger of Archdale, Dottie Rollins of Sophia, and Hobert Messick, Jr. and wife Elsie of Sierra Vista, AZ., grandchildren: Dale Parrish, Shane Parrish, Lisa Parrish, Tonja Robbins, Anita Cole, Kevin Rollins, Travis Messick, Keith Messick, Jonathan Rollins, Tammy Morgan and Lisa Dawkins:25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman, NC and other times at the home of Jeannie Parrish. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. J. Arnold Luther, and Pastor Kevin Rollins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Randleman.
