Pauline England

Daisy Pauline Cochran England, age 94, of Asheboro died Friday, May 19, 2017 at North Pointe Assisted Living Community, Randleman. Mrs. England was born September 22, 1922 in Hindsboro, IL, the daughter of the late William Earl and Mary Frances (Kirkendoll) Cochran.  Pauline was one of eight children.

Mrs. England was a Christian woman whose love, compassion and giving spirit was always evident to her family and loved ones.  She was well read in the Word of God and would be known to say, "This is between me, you and Jesus." She enjoyed traveling with her family and had a love for sports, especially for her football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and her favorite NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon or "Jeffie" as she liked to call him. Mrs. England is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jack Eugene England, son, Michael England, six brothers and one sister.  

She is survived by son Thom England and wife Shary of Sarasota, FL, daughter Judy Gilliland and husband Joe of Goldston, NC; grandchildren, Cammy Davis and husband David of Wake Forest, NC, Toby England and wife Toni of Sarasota, FL, Jackie Hunt of Asheboro, NC, Matt Wolf and wife Laura of Troy, NC, Shannon Brooks and husband Todd of St. Peters, MO; 12 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 12 noon - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.  The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ty VanThomas officiating. Burial will follow at Chimney Lane Christ Fellowship Cemetery, 622 Pleasant Cross Rd., Asheboro, NC 27203.
