Paul Howard Sheppard

Paul Howard Sheppard of Troy went to be with the Lord peacefully at home with family on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Paul was born January 26, 1944, a native of Montgomery County. He was a graduate of East Montgomery High School. He worked 30 years for Partnership Property Management of Greensboro, NC. He was a veteran who loved his Lord, family, church and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Edna Sheppard, brother Dorris and nephew Glen Parnell. Paul is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years: Marie Mason Sheppard of the home; brothers: Ronald (Pearl) of Star, Donald (Joyce) of Troy, Frank (Lynn) of Mt. Airy, and John; sisters: Brenda of Salisbury, Shelby of Candor, Nancy Allred (Donald); stepdaughter: Debbie Hartsell (Mitchell) of Locust; step-granddaughters: Kendra Bjorn of Asheboro, Kasey (Paul) Dennis of Temple, Texas; 5 step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6-8 pm at First Wesleyan Church, 1368 NC Hwy 134 N, Troy; other times at the home, 520 Cox St., Troy. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at First Wesleyan Church with pastors Dr. Ed Lindsey and Rev. Brian Wardlaw officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
