Paul Joseph Herzog

Paul Joseph Herzog, Sr., age 83, of 880 Rockcliff Terrace, Asheboro died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army of High Point, 121 Cloverleaf Southwest, High Point. Entombment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Herzog was born on September 5, 1929 in Canton, OH to Edward and Julia Bowen Herzog. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Paul retired as a Major after 46 years of service with the Salvation Army and was employed with Randolph Bank & Trust for over 15 years. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife Garnet Opal Herzog. He is survived by his sons, Stephan Wayne Herzog, Sr. and his wife Cherry of Middlesex, NC, Paul Herzog, Jr. and his wife Lori of Wendell, NC; daughter, Marlene Koon and her husband Tom of Garner, NC; grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Herzog, Jr., Anna-Marie Herzog, Megan Leigh Koon, Joshua Paul Koon, Hannah Marie Koon, Kyleigh Graham Herzog, and Ashton McKenna Herzog; great grandchildren, Alexanderia Grace Herzog and Mackenzie Mae Herzog. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
