Patsy Powers

Patsy West Powers, age 69, of 2358 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Powers was born March 25, 1939 in Graham NC the daughter of Lacy Troy West and Unice Mae Rainey West. Mrs. Powers was a retired Teacher's Assistant from the Asheboro City School System and a member of Back Creek Friends Meeting. She is survived by her husband: Charles "Buddy" Powers, one daughter: Cathy Thompson and her husband Mike of Asheboro, NC and three sons: Doug Powers and his wife Sandy of Asheboro, NC, Steve Powers of Asheboro, NC, and Todd Powers of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughter, Ashley Monninger and her husband Steven of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Kerri Thompson of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Kevin Powers of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Russell Powers of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Erin Powers; great granddaughter, Chloe Monninger of Asheboro, NC; great grandson, Cade Monninger of Asheboro, NC, and one sister: Nancy West Rossiter of Asheboro, NC. In addition to her parents Pat was preceded in death by her sister, June West Heaton, brothers, William Robert "Snake" West, Lacy Troy West, Jr. and Joseph "Dink" West. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2008 at Back Creek Friends Meeting, 139 Back Creek Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Jon Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Back Creek Friends Meeting, Asheboro. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
