Patsy Lee Evans Hornsby

RANDLEMAN--Patsy Lee Evans Hornsby, age 79, of Randleman passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Hornsby was born in Gaston County on August 26, 1937 to Floyd and Mary Lee Wineburger Evans. She was a member of Firelight Baptist Church at Greystone where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Hornsby was a loving wife to her husband for over 47 years. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Spencer Hornsby and brother, Jimmy Howie. She is survived by her daughters, Mitzi K. Beck and husband Johnny of Mt. Gilead, Marion H. Brill of Wilmington, Kathy H. Grant and husband Eddie of Randleman; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister: Gail Green of Gastonia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Firelight Baptist Church at Greystone, 805 Greystone Road, Asheboro with Rev. Fred Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
