Patricia McDowell Yates

Patricia McDowell Yates, age 69, of Asheboro died Monday, November 3, 2014 at her home Mrs. Yates was born May 13, 1945 in Asheboro to Thomas James and Juanita Alberta Register McDowell. She was married to Milton F. Yates from September 5, 1964 until his death on July 21, 2012. Mrs. Yates enjoyed working with arts and crafts but her biggest enjoyment in life was from her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Juanita R. McDowell of Asheboro; daughters, Krista Y. Maness and husband Barry of Asheboro, Lisa Y. Vaughn and husband Stephen of Asheboro; son, Todd F. Yates of Asheboro; grandchildren, Blair and Damon Maness, Corey and Connor Vaughn; brother, Jerry McDowell and wife Kim of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Bud Parker and Pastor Pat Thames officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens.
