Patty was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Smith Woodard and brother Stephen Woodard. Patty graduated from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Concord in 1974. She worked tirelessly as a nurse for 40 years in the Asheboro area and had most recently worked with Randolph Hospice House. She loved her job and always made it about others. Always giving, Patty loved her dog Ginger Elizabeth and cat Chuck and called them her "fur babies." She loved her friends and family and they loved her. She was always a selfless caregiver to others. Patty wanted everyone at Randolph Hospital and Randolph Hospice House to know how much she appreciated them and that their care truly "kissed her heart." She is survived by several cousins.
