Patricia James Smith, age 70, of Sophia died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston- Salem.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Baltimore, MD. Patricia worked at Randolph Hospital for 15 years and High Point Regional Hospital for 12 years. She was formerly active with meals-on-wheels and had great love and compassion for people and animals, especially her precious dog BB.
She is survived by her husband: Jeffrey Smith of the home; daughter: Cindy Trogdon and her husband John of Asheboro; sons: Michael Frye and his wife Wendy of Dallas, TX, and Jimmy Clark and his wife Tess of Asheboro; 14 grandchildren including, Carrie, Katie and Christopher Trogdon.; 1 great grandchild; sisters: Susan Miller and her husband Ralph, Penny McDaniel and her husband Rodney, Polly Doda and her husband Dennis and Peggy Kinlein and her husband Mike all of Baltimore, MD; brother-in-laws, David Smith and his wife Glenda and Blaine Smith all of Sophia; nieces, Michelle Bass, Julie Smith, and Amy Frye.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2015 from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Flint Hill Community Church, Sophia with Rev. Michael W. Adams Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
