Parker Hampton Taylor

Parker Hampton Taylor, age 53, of Cincinnati, Ohio died Monday, November 17, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Taylor Upchurch and his father William Edward Taylor. Mr. Taylor was born May 10, 1955 in Oak Hill, WV and is a native of Asheboro, NC. He was formerly employed by Johnson & Johnson. He was an avid fan of UNC Tarheels basketball. He was active in youth sports and enjoyed many years of coaching baseball and basketball for his son and daughter's teams. He is survived by two daughters, Lauren Ashley Taylor and Whitney Taylor, and his son Trevor Taylor of Cincinnati, OH; four sisters, Lynne Etta Saunders of Richmond, VA, Carol Albright of Mount Gilead, NC, Selena McDonald of Asheboro, NC, and Susan Wenda of Raleigh, NC; his brother, Dean Upchurch of Randleman, NC; his step-father Jimmy Ray Upchurch; his grandson, Ayden Parker Taylor; seven nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends Monday, November 24, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC 27203. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 11:00AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Father Christopher Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Randolph Memorial Park . 4538 US 220 Business North, Asheboro.
