Paige Harris, age 72, of 893 North Main Street, Troy died Friday, December 31, 2010 at of .Autumn Care of Biscoe

Mr. Harris was born March 24, 1938 in Candor, NC the son of the late Grady and the late Lula Kellis Harris. He was an active member of First Wesleyan Church where served in various capacities. He was a retired employee with thirty years of service from the NC Department of Corrections and a US Navy veteran. He was a former commissioner having served numerous terms for the Town of Troy.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Merle Hurley Harris of the home; children: Floyd Hicks of Asheboro, Dana H. Callicutt of Troy and Teresa Harris of Troy; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-9 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at First Wesleyan Church, 1368 NC Hwy 134N, Troy with Pastor Jeff Ray officiating. Burial will be in First Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
