Page Craven

William Page Craven, age 81, formerly of 1336 Brooklyn Ave. Ext., Ramseur died Monday, May 26, 2008 at Carillon Assisted Living of Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 4:00 PM in the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, 1426 Pleasant Ridge Road, Ramseur with Rev. Paul Griffin officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Craven was a Randolph County native and served in the Army during WWII. He was co-owner and operator of the Craven-Kivett Clothing Store in Ramseur for many years. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church and was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Craven. Page was a dedicated father and husband and a friend to all. He is survived by his wife, Velna Allen Craven. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Mark Craven, 4394 Young Rd., Ramseur. The family of Mr. Craven would like to extend a special thanks to the Carillon Assisted Living family and to Hospice.
