P J McRae

Philip James (PJ) McRae, age 67, of Mt Gilead died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home. P J was born December 31, 1946 at Troy, NC, the son of Philip and Frances Lassiter McRae. He was a maintenance technician at McRae Industries for thirty years. P J is preceded in death by this father, Philip McRae and one brother Terry McRae. He is survived by his mother: Frances Lassiter McRae of Albemarle; two daughters: Rhonda McRae Cummons (James) of Kernersville, Christy McRae of Mt Gilead; one son: Glen McRae (Sharon Morton) of Mt. Gilead; 2 grandchildren; three brothers: Michael McRae (Martha) of Albemarle, Harry McRae (Debbie) of Troy, Mark McRae (Jennifer) of Albemarle; Sister-in-law, Thelma Jean McRae (wife of Terry McRae) of Asheboro. In accordance with P J's wishes, there will be no formal service; however a gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 5 pm - 8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St. Troy. At 7 pm a service to celebrate P J's life will begin for a time of reflection to share your favorite memories of P J. Burial will be private.
