P.C. Harris

P.C. "Bud" Harris, age 78, of Lamb Country Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.Mr. Harris was a native of Reidsville, NC and was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired as a Machinist from Energizer Battery after 32 years of service and from the Randolph County Schools after 12 years of service with the Exceptional Children Transportation. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lyndell Cooper and Eunice Wall. Bud's greatest hobby was as a musician and he sold and tuned organs and pianos mainly for churches. He was the owner of P.C. Harris Music Company. Bud was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by Nancy Brown of the home; sons, Daryl Harris of Asheboro, NC, Neal Harris of Willow Springs, NC; daughters, Karen Davis and her husband Steve of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Melody Powell and her husband Steve of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Michael Harris of Sharon, PA, Bailey Powell of Fayetteville, GA, Grayson Powell of Fayetteville, GA; sisters, Maggie Apple of Burlington, NC and Margaret Spencer and her husband Clay of Winston- Salem, NC. P.C. is also survived by several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
