Ottie Bingham Cox

The earthly life of Ottie Katherine Bingham Cox, 94, ended Sunday, May 4, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The youngest child of Julia Tant Bingham and Thomas Garfield Bingham, Ottie was born on May 19, 1913. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Arley Monroe Cox, she is survived by daughter Sara Cox Cates and husband Roger Cates of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews and their extended families. A life long resident of Randolph County until 2003, Ottie was a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 7, from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Service. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 8, at Asheboro Friends Meeting at 11 AM. Graveside service will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
