Othar Calvin Hunsucker

Othar Calvin Hunsucker, age 79, of Troy died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Southside Cemetery with Pastor James Brewer and Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Mr. Hunsucker was a native of Troy and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Othar was a retired Regional Manager for Flavor-Rich Dairies and was also a Courier for First Bank. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 Years Nellie Thomas Hunsucker, a sister Christine Lemons, and a brother Homer Hunsucker. Othar was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and attended Troy Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his daughter, Denise H Carter of Asheboro; brothers, Lowell Hunsucker of Troy, Delma Hunsucker of Biscoe; and sister, Linda Stevens of Star. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC.
