Ora McCray Bales Crickmore, age 93, formerly of West Wainman Ave., Asheboro died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Mrs. Crickmore was a native of Guilford County and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. She was retired from Randolph Hospital where she worked in the dietary department and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Ora was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Crickmore, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Crickmore Pace and her husband Jim of Brandon, MS, Jackie Crickmore Chisholm and her husband Bob of Cary, NC, Shelby Crickmore Cox and her husband Leroy of Reidsville, NC; son, Charles L. Crickmore III and his wife Sharron of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Susan Bailey, Larry Cox, Janet Lessig, Lee Cox, Shelley York, Charlie L. Crickmore IV, and Corey Crickmore; 4 great grandchildren; niece, Delores Myers and her husband Lewis of High Point, NC; and nephew, Ronald Foust and his wife Sue of Colfax, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, and to to the staff of Evercare, United Healthcare, for the exceptional and dedicated care given to Ora.
