Opal Siler Wood, age 93, of 134 New Salem Rd., Randleman died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Routh and Rev. Wayne Fogleman officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.Mrs. Wood was a native of Randleman, NC, was a graduate of Providence School, and was of the Quaker faith. Opal was retired from Nixon Reynolds Hosiery and was preceded in death by her husband, Alford Wayfield Wood, Sr., sisters, Annie Routh and Edna McAden, and brother, Joe Siler. She is survived by her sons, Alford W. Wood, Jr. of Randleman, NC, Larry E. Wood of Randleman, NC; grandchildren, Timmy Wood and his wife Elizabeth, Jamie Wood, Gisela Wood , Chris Wood and his wife Michelle, Ellen Bulla, Ricky Bulla and his wife Melinda; great grandchildren, Kevin, April, Christine Maness and her husband Josh, Jessie, T.W., Jonathan, Tanner, Brandon, Zac, and Chris; great great grandchildren, Alex, Kenzi, Devin, Justin, Justine, Jaylon, Kayla, Andrew, Alyssa, Austin, Jacob, Zachary, Christopher, and special friends, Bertha Allred, Cathy Mears, Johnette Stanley, and Vernon Hinshaw.The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at her home.
