Omma Maness Chriscoe

Omma Williams Maness Chriscoe, age 92, of 372 Old Plank Rd., Seagrove died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Randolph Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove with Dr. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Chriscoe was born in Moore County, NC on December 9, 1918 to Jim and Laura Maness Williams. She was retired from Klopman Mills and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Maness and David Chriscoe, and her son, Ferrell Maness. Omma loved to cook, care for her flowers, and spend time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Sally Routh and her husband Larry of Sophia, NC; Clara Brooks of Asheboro, NC; son, Arnold Maness and his wife Gertrude of Covington, GA; stepsons, Joe Chriscoe and his wife Annette of Seagrove, NC, Edward Chriscoe and his wife Sue of Seagrove, NC; 12 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; sisters, Elgie Underwood of Robbins, NC; Hazel Collins and her husband OBrient of Rockingham, NC; and brother, Lendon Williams of Robbins, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC.
