Oma Jeanne Winslow Davis (O.J.) passed away surrounded by family on July 22, 2017. O.J. was born May 23, 1925 to Marie Kendall Winslow and John Raymond Winslow in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years Joseph M. Davis, her parents, brother Edwin Winslow and stepfather Lynn Ellis. She is survived by sister Miriam Cohen, daughter Julie Davis (George Viconovic), son Stephen (Diana) Davis, grandson Chris Davis, granddaughter Katie Freeman (Brian) and great grandson Thomas.
She is also survived by her dearly loved nieces and nephews: Michael Cohen, Marcia Cohen, Monte Cohen, Marilee Cohen, Matt Cohen, Sherry Winslow, Craig Winslow and goddaughter Gina Tedescucci.
OJ was a believer in the kindness and acceptance of others learned in the Quaker faith that she was raised in. She cherished the magic of the written word and of music and the joy of her children and grandchildren (who nicknamed her GMA). Her kind heart will be missed by both young and old family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 on Saturday, August 19th at First Presbyterian Church, 420 W. Walker Ave., Asheboro, NC.
