Ollie Mae Brown Galyon, age 92, of 226 Charles Ave., Asheboro died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.Mrs. Galyon was a native of Randolph County and was previously employed with Bossong Hoisery, Acme-McCrary and Nantucket Hosiery. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in the homebound ministry. Mrs. Galyon was preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Galyon. She is survived by her son, Luther Galyon, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Sarah Galyon Dorman and her husband, Capt. Gregory Dorman of Colorado Springs, CO.The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to service at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
