Olgie A. Scarborough

Olgie A. Scarborough, age 74, of 1411 Westwood Dr., Asheboro died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Scarborough was a native of Moore County, a retired beautician and was active with Relay For Life. She was a member of West Chapel United Methodist Church and was a former pianist at West Asheboro Baptist Church. Mrs. Scarborough was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Scarborough. She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Sheppard and her husband David of Greenville, SC; sons, Thomas C. Chris Scarborough, Jr. and his wife Dee of Wilmington, NC, Allen W. Scarborough and his wife Carolyn of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Christina Voitel of Greenville, SC, David Sheppard III of Greenville, SC, Thomas C. T.C. Scarborough of Wilmington, NC, Bethany Scarborough of Asheboro, NC, John Tanner Scarborough of Wilmington, NC; 7 great grandchildren; special childhood friend, Jenny Vuncannon of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, February 29, 2008 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The family extends their appreciation to Clapps Nursing Home and its staff for the love and care extended to Mrs. Scarborough.
