Ola Mae Lanier Trogdon, age 91, of Asheboro died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at High Pine Wesleyan Church, 4492 High Pine Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Todd Leach officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Trogdon was born in Randolph County on April 16, 1923 to Edgar E. and Lora Williams Lanier. She was a 1942 graduate of Seagrove High School and a homemaker. Ola was a member of High Pine Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, Ola was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Trogdon, sister Emma Lou Farlow, and brothers Wayne Lanier and Clifford Lanier. Ola enjoyed quilting, baskets, puzzles, and genealogy.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Crotts (Donald), sons, Boyd Trogdon (Wanda), Glenn Trogdon (Diane), and Bruce Trogdon all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Beth Trogdon Allen (Richard) of Asheboro, Kerri Trogdon Smith (Roger) of Star, Nathan Crotts of Asheboro, Eric Crotts (Camille) of Charleston, SC, Matthew Trogdon of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Skylee Smith, Colson Allen, Amelia Crotts; brother, Lowell Lanier of Sophia; sisters, Zelma King and Betty Hammer both of Asheboro.
