Norman Morgan

Norman "Blaine" Morgan, Jr., age 87, of Troy died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at his home. Blaine was born April 21, 1926 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of Norman Blaine and Mabel Hall Morgan. He was an active member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and he served in the US Army from 1949-1953. Blaine was a retiree with 65 years of service from Thomasville Industries. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Russell. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Janie Gooch Morgan of the home; two daughters: Cynthia Morgan of Troy, Beverly Stacey and husband, Denny of Hartsville, SC; two sons: Terry Morgan and wife, Lane of Troy, Keith Morgan of Charlotte; two sisters: Peggy Wilkins and Martha Davis, both of Denton; one grandson: Aaron Hurley and wife, Heather of Troy; four granddaughters, Emma and Allie Morgan, Mallori and Morgan Stacey; one great-grandson, Fisher Hartman. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am at Macedonia United Methodist Church, 4203 NC Hwy 109N, Troy with the Revs. Derald Smith, Jesse Clubb and Darrin Everhart officiating.
