Norman Rudy Fritz

Norman Rudy Fritz, age 85, of Carolina House, 514 Vision Drive, Asheboro, formerly of 577 Manchester Road, Mt. Gilead, died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Fritz was born August 26, 1927 at Auburn, PA, the son of Rudy and Helen Fritz. He was a US Army (retired) and Navy veteran, having served 2 tours of duty each in Vietnam and Korea. He served on the Board of Directors of Woodrun and had worked as a security guard there also. Mr. Fritz was also a 32nd degree mason. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Marguerite Gately Fritz of Carolina House, Asheboro and one son and his wife: Michael A. and Donna Walker Fritz of Douglasville, GA and stepson: Jeffrey Taylor Walker. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home. A memorial graveside inurnment service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
