Norma Kivett Callahan

Norma Kivett Callahan, age 60, of 543 Burney Road, Asheboro died Friday, April 18, 2008 at her residence in Asheboro. Mrs. Callahan was born June 5, 1947 in Randolph County, NC the daughter of the late Lawrence "Giant" Kivett and the late Dorothy Mae (Cox) Kivett. She was an active member of High Pine Wesleyan Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Norma was formerly employed by General Electric & Black and Decker and most recently at the Merita Bread Store. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Renee' Callahan. She is survived by her husband: William Franklin Callahan; son & daughter in law, Todd & Karen Callahan of Asheboro, NC; grandsons, Justin Callicutt; Daniel Walker; and Scott Callahan; granddaughters, Sarah Walker and Karissa Callahan; two brothers: Clyde Lacy Kivett of Ramseur, NC and Donald Craig Kivett of Eden, NC The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, April 21, 2008, at 2:00 pm at High Pine Wesleyan Church, 4492 High Pine Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Wyatt Hoogkamp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
