Norma Jean Lewallen Allmon, age 82, Asheboro died Friday, June 19, 2015 at her home in Asheboro.
Mrs. Allmon was born January 18, 1933 in Randolph County, the daughter of Linnie William and Pauline Hinshaw Lewallen. Mrs. Allmon was retired from Burlington Industries and later employed with the Randolph County School System as a substitute teacher. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Asheboro. She loved music and formerly played the piano at Brower's Wesleyan Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Allmon; Son, Terry and his wife Sheila Allmon of Asheboro; Grandson, Scott and his wife Jodie Allmon of Bennett; Granddaughters, Kelli and her husband Robert Bodisch of Cedar Point and Ashley and her husband Bristin Brewer of Bennett; Great Grandchildren, Braxton, Brylie, Jackson and Badin Allmon, Emma, Ronan and Hana Bodisch, Kyla Vann, and Ella Brewer.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at First Church of The Nazarene, 2657 Southmont Dr., Asheboro with Pastor Wyatt Hoogkamp and Rev. Michael Parenti officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
