Nordia Robbins

Nordia Staley Robbins, age 90, of Asheboro died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Robbins was born July 20, 1923 the daughter of Thomas R. and Mary Ann Cox Staley. Mrs. Robbins was a native of Randolph County and retired from Bossong Hosiery after more than 50 years of service. She was an active member of West Bend United Methodist Church serving in many positions over the years. She was an accomplished basket weaver and liked to share her creations with friends and family. Nordia and her husband Duke, were married for more than 70 years. She is preceded in death by her son: William Duke Robbins. She is survived by her husband: Duke Robbins; granddaughter and her husband, Amanda and Richard Robbins of FL; great granddaughter, Makayla White of FL; one sister: Thelma Burritt of Greensboro, NC and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow Saturday at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
