Nora Fields Holland, age 84, of Randleman, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital while enjoying a trip to Holden Beach.
Nora was born September 5, 1934, the daughter of Asa "Red" and Josie Fields, who preceded her in death.
She was married for 61 years to the late Stevens Edward "Steve" Holland. Nora is survived by her sons Timothy Fields Holland and wife Ann, and Edward Monroe Holland and wife Erica, all of Randleman, NC. Her twin brother, Norman F. Fields, and brother John A. Fields preceded her in death.
Nora graduated from Ramseur High School in 1952 and from Asheboro Commercial College. She retired from Randleman Savings Bank, where she was employed for over 35 years, serving as a Director and CEO. During her sons school years, she was active in the PTA and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Nora was an active member of the Randleman Chamber of Commerce and was often recognized for her volunteer efforts. She was a kind and generous mother and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her or were positively impacted by her.
Nora enjoyed line dancing, knitting, playing piano, traveling, fishing on the pier while spending time at Holden Beach, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A Graveside Service will be held at Randolph Memorial Park, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00pm with Pastor Jeff Freeman officiating.
