Nellie Marie Sumner

Nellie Marie "Nell" Sumner, age 73, of Sophia died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home. Miss Sumner was born January 19, 1942 the daughter of Shelby and Ethel Wall Sumner. Nell was a native of Randolph County and a member of Sophia Baptist Church. She retired from Commonwealth after 49 years of service. Nell found enjoyment working in her garden and she loved her animals. She is survived by her sisters: Frances Brower of Trinity, Margaret Watson of Trinity, Lucy Clinard of Thomasville, Anne Taylor of High Point, and Betty Frazier and her husband Raymond of Randleman; brother: Donnie Sumner of Trinity. The family will receive friends Monday, October 19, 2015 from 1:00 - 1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
