Nellie Irvine

Nellie Jordan Irvine, age 79, of Asheboro died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Irvine was born July 13, 1933 in Randolph County to Willie and Laura McNeill Jordan. She was retired from Central Telephone and was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Irvine was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Edna, Mae, Hazel and Blanche, Lacy, Carl, Paul and Clyde. Mrs. Irvine is survived by her husband, Edward Irvine; son, Steven E. Irvine of Asheboro; sister, Mary Coltrane of Asheboro; brother, Edward Jordan of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
