Nellie Burns Howell

Nellie Burns Howell, age 92, of 326 Bowman Rd., Candor, formerly of Troy, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Mrs. Howell was born May 27, 1924 in Moore County, NC, the daughter of Causey Clinton and Mary Bessie Hicks Burns. She was a member of Troy Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Howell. She is survived by nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10:00 am at Southside Cemetery, South Main St., Troy with Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Memorials may be made to Troy Presbyterian Church, 202 E.
