Nathron Lee "Punk" Peeler, age 79, of Randleman died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home. Mr. Peeler was born July 17, 1935 in the White Oak Community in Guilford County, the son of David and Fannie Watson Peeler. The family then moved to the Level Cross Community. Nathron was a former employee of J.P. Stevens in Greensboro and was a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. "Punks" favorite hangouts was the Gulf Station and Allen's Barbershop in Randleman, where he socialized with his friends. He enjoyed planting a garden and then sharing the vegetables with his friends. In addition to his parents, Nathron is preceded in death by his sisters: Dorothy "Dot" Buckland and Louise Ritter; brothers: David and Alvin Peeler. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years: Doris Ellen Toomes Peeler, of the home; daughter, Cindy Hensley and her husband Doug; sons: Mike Peeler and his wife Angela, and Don Peeler and his wife Melinda; granddaughters: Karla Peeler and Savana Peeler; brother, Wade Peeler and his wife Nancy; sisters: Dovie Cox and her husband Fred, and Shirley Burton. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman with Rev. Richard C. Hedgecock officiating.
