Naomi Faye Odom Carter, age 72, of Randleman died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. Carter was born March 20, 1943 the daughter of John and Beatrice Lucas Odom.
Naomi was a native of Guilford County and retired from Champagne Dye Works. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family. In addition to her parents Naomi is preceded in death by her husband Wilmer Ray Carter, sisters: Sarah and Rachel.
She is survived by her sons: Timothy R. Carter (Robin) of Randleman, Mark A. Carter (Mary) of Randleman, Steven M. Carter of Asheboro, Phillip B. Carter (Tina) of Asheboro, and Aaron S. Carter of Randleman; grandchildren: Brandon, Alaina, Tyler, Chris and Josh Carter (Lauren); one great grandchild on the way; step great grandchild: Jackson; sisters: Mary Ann Atkins of Franklinville and Marty Simmons of Greensboro; Brothers: Johnny Odom (Faye) of Greensboro, David Odom (Janice) of Greensboro and Joe Odom (Trish) of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and after the funeral service at the home of her son Aaron Carter, 117 Sunset Drive, Randleman, NC.
The funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Pastor Del Grim officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
