Nancy Lillie Self

Nancy Lillie Stiles Self, age 81, of Sophia passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Self was born in High Point on February 16, 1934 to William Gordon and Pearl Ridge Stiles. She was a member and Pastor's wife of Calvary Baptist Church in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nancy was the yard sale queen and an immaculate housekeeper. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Reverend Billy Self; daughters, Vickie Trotter and husband Gary of Sophia, Sheila Brown and husband Perry of Randleman; sons, Mike Self and wife Sandy of Archdale, Steven Self and wife Sandy of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Rebecca Bouffard, Elizabeth Pickard, Ryan Self, Brandon Self, Adam Self and wife LaRanda, Casey McDaniel and husband Derek, Chad Self and wife Emily, Travis Trotter and wife Angie, Jessica Cain and husband Jordan, Jacob Brown; 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Annette Steed of Thomasville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 210 Oakgrove Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Billy R. Self and Rev. Perry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenola Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to family friend Sherry Teague and to Nancy's granddaughter Jessica for their loving care over the past 3 months. We would also like to thank her church family for all of their love and support.
