Nancy Hussey Chisholm, 73, of Asheboro, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur. She was born October 10, 1940 in Robbins, NC, to Newton and Pearl Hussey. She married Daniel Lacy Chisholm Jr. on April 20, 1968, and he survives.
Also surviving are her three daughters: Cathy Beason and husband Ken of Troy, Jody Terry and husband Joey of Asheboro, Terri McKellar and husband Cliff of Southhaven, MS; one granddaughter: Lacy Terry of Cary; six grandsons: Joseph Terry IV of Asheboro, Kenyan, Braylen, Brody and Drake Beason all of Troy and Sid McKellar of Southhaven, MS, sister: Bonnie Phillips of Fayetteville, two brothers: Jack Hussey and wife Betsy of Robbins, Arnold Dean Hussey and wife Pam of Robbins and sister-in-law: Kim Hussey of Robbins as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Nancy's mother and father Newton and Pearl Hussey, sisters: Shirley Brower and Ruby Beane, brother: Larry Hussey and granddaughter: Lindley Beason preceded her in death.
Nancy was a long time resident of Asheboro where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Robbins. She was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she raised her daughters and worshipped in the company of many wonderful friends. Nancy was a seamstress who loved growing beautiful flowers, watching Carolina Basketball and taking care of her family.
The visitation is from 1 pm-2 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend David Spaulding will be officiating. The burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park.
