Nancy Auman Wilson, age 80, of Fairway Shores, Mt. Gilead died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center, Main, Charlotte. Nancy was born December 23, 1933 in Randolph County, the daughter of Elsie Glenn and Myrtle Lucas Auman. Nancy was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church of Asheboro and graduate of Seagrove High School. She was a former supervisor with 20-plus years of service, over leather cutting at Klaussner Furniture. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, George Thomas Wilson and a sister, Isla Vuncannon. Nancy loved each morning sitting by the lake with her coffee. Most important to her was her family, children and grandchildren. Her most favorite time of year was her annual "Pig Pickin" at the lake. She beamed with pride as all her family was with her! She also loved working in her flower gardens, traveling to the beach and spending time with her friends and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Tony Wilson and wife, Beth of Winston- Salem, Tom Wilson and wife, Lisa of Troy, Ted Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO, Tammy Wilson Tisone and husband, Joe of Nokomis, FL; grandchildren:, Stefanie Tisone Brackman and husband Mike, Megan Tisone Catani and husband, John, Tori Wilson, Kati Wilson, Taryn Gordon, Savanna Wilson Jesse Wilson, Jordan Brady, Hunter Wilkes; one sister: Barbara Delk and husband, Adrian of Lake Lure, NC; three brothers: Charles Auman and wife, Rose, Dalton Auman and wife, Mary Joyce, Grayson Auman and wife, Lettie, all of Seagrove; extended family: Mike Robertson, Eric Robertson, Tex Graham, Greg Little, Frankie Auman, Todd Smith and Jana Willard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. At 7:00 PM Tuesday, a funeral service will be held with Gene Hogan officiating. Inurnment will be private. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Barry Cole, 324 Coppies Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205 or to the National Stroke Association, 9707 Easter Lane, Centennial, Colorado 80112.
