Myrtle Dixon Lewallen

Myrtle Dixon "Billie" Lewallen, age 96, of 230 E. Presnell St., Asheboro died Monday, December 26, 2011 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will follow on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Lewallen was born in Randolph County on February 18, 1915 to Charles Allen and Senath Waddell Dixon. She was retired from Moffitt Knitting Mill and was a member of Hopewell Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband Herman H. Lewallen and her brothers and sisters Alice Dixon Jones, Swain Dixon, James Dixon, Beulah Dixon Burkheart, Irene Dixon Morecock, Flora Dixon McMillan, Lillian Dixon Beamer, and Arnold Dixon. She is survived by her sister, Florence Dixon Cox of Asheboro, NC.
