Myrtle Blake Carbone, age 97, of Troy, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe.
Myrtle was born September 13, 1916 at Troy, NC the daughter of Clovis Ralph and Nannie May Allen Blake.
Myrtle was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy; she owned and operated for several years The Continental Antique Shop.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years: Michael Kelly Carbone, her siblings: Millie Blake Arscott, Leona Blake Page, Floyd Blake, Earl Blake and Allen Blake.
She is survived by two daughters: Marilyn Rose Carbone Leonard of Sullivan's Island, SC, Pamela Carbone Kellaway and husband, Dave, of Troy; one sister: Georgia Blake Pridgen of Troy; grandchildren: David Bruce Kellaway, Jr. of Troy, Charlotte Suzanne Artus of London, England and Michael Phillip Eaton of Mooresville; great-grandchildren: Leo and Delilah Artus of London, England; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Troy, 401 E. Main Street, Troy with Dr. Phillips McRae officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service.
