Myrle Lanier

Myrle "Pid" Johnson Lanier, age 93, formerly of 1646 Lassiter Mill Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Mountain Vista Health Park, Denton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Science Hill Friends Meeting, 2421 Lassiter Mill Road, Asheboro with Rev. Brady Morrison and Rev. Allen Bullard officiating. Burial will follow in the meeting cemetery. Mrs. Lanier was a native of Randolph County and was a member of Science Hill Friends Meeting. She was the widow of Van Lanier. Pid enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, and being with family, neighbors, and church friends. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Gallimore of Denton, NC; son, Max Lanier and his wife Peggy of Asheboro, NC; 4 grandchildren, Greg Gallimore, Kevin Gallimore, Amanda Delk, Angela Lanier; 6 great grandchildren, Steven Gallimore, Jason Gallimore, Sarah Delk, Jay Delk, Jessica Gallimore, Jordan Gallimore; 1 great great grandchild, Jacob Grantham; and brother, Jack Johnson of Immokalee, FL. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
