Myra Jean Bowman

Myra Jean Hardin Bowman, age 87, of Randleman died Monday, October 13, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Bowman was employed with Laughlin Hosiery for 20 years and retired from Black & Decker with 20 years also. Myra was a loving, generous lady who was a caretaker for many of her family members. She loved everyone and was loved by everyone. In her family she was known as "The Secretary" for her organization skills and attention to detail. She enjoyed sending cards for any and every occasion. Mrs. Bowman is preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Mozell Smith Hardin great grandchild, Hannah Redding; brother, Charles "Connie" Hardin and sister, Nancy Hardin. She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Redding and her husband Gregory of Randleman; grandchildren, Jordan Beane and her husband Dale of Randleman, and Greg Redding and his wife Leah of Sophia; great grandchildren, Jackson and Gracie Beane of Randleman and Lainey and Lucy Redding of Sophia; brother: Dewey Hardin and his wife Susan of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Joan Hardin of Winston-Salem and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 1:30-2:45 pm at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Drive, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
