Mozelle Brower Stout, age 100, of Gensis Healthcare, 550 Glenwood Drive, Mooresville, formerly of Asheboro, died Thursday, April 10, 2014. Mrs. Stout was born October 22, 1913 the daughter of George Washington Brower and Emma York Brower. Mrs. Stout was a native of Randolph County and a former Miss Siler City. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Asheboro and the Randolph County chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. In the early 1980's she was appointed by Governor Jim Hunt to the State Board of Social Services. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade T. Stout. She is survived by one son: Timothy W. Stout and his wife, Diana of Mooresville, NC; one grandson: Jacob Stout of Knoxville, TN; two brothers: Bill Brower of Ramseur, NC and Jim Brower of Siler City, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Parks Cross Roads Christian Church, Ramseur. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
