Mozelle V. Craven Price, age 89, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Price was born in Asheboro on March 24, 1928 to Nixon and Jellycee Hamilton Voncannon. Mozelle was retired from Asheboro City Schools and formerly worked in the cafeteria at McCrary Elementary School. She was a member of Spoons Chapel Christian Church, where she was a former pianist and deaconess. In addition to her parents, Mozelle was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Resal Craven, Sulon Wright, and Ernest Price, daughter-in-law, Dianne Craven, and siblings, Bert Clark, Emma Moffitt, and J.C. Voncannon. Mozelle loved traveling to Garden City.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wright and husband Bill of Asheboro; sons, Larry Craven of Asheboro and Greg Craven and wife Cynthia of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ann Vestal and husband Rick of Texas, Phillip Craven and wife Angela of Denton, Rebecca Craven of Asheboro; and great grandchildren, Maggie and Tucker Craven.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Randolph and also to Cynthia Craven for the loving care given to Mozelle.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Spoons Chapel Christian Church, 1838 Spoons Chapel Rd., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Spoons Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Tim Pheagin and Rev. John Auler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
